What is engineered bamboo, and what does BSU make from it?

BSU transforms raw bamboo poles into standardized, high-performance structural elements through processes like sizing, grading, VPI treatment, and HDPE coating, removing natural inconsistencies and creating materials that rival traditional structural materials, and in specific applications, even steel. This transformation from raw bamboo into engineered bamboo is what BSU calls Bahu-Balli.

Bamboo’s rapid growth and high strength-to-weight ratio make it ideal for crash barriers, fencing, poles, and eco-tourism structures, engineered to withstand demanding environments while reducing environmental impact.
